The religious education offered in school is in accordance with the articles of government, and county of the Diocese of Gloucester’s agreed syllabus for religious education.
We aim to give the children an understanding of the beliefs of the Christian faith and a knowledge of other religions and their teachings. An act of collective worship takes place each day led by a member of staff, and a monthly visit from the vicar of Oldbury or a member of the church.
Churches Together lead an Open the Book Worship which runs in a 3 year cycle. Children also take part in religious festivals throughout the year held at St. Arilda’s, the parish church.
Parents have the right to request withdrawal of their children from collective worship on religious grounds if they so wish.
