Governors

Welcome to Oldbury School Governors. Together with Mrs Dix we work together to provide the best education possible for all our children. We meet 5 times each academic year and our meetings are ‘open’ meetings, so if you would like to attend, please contact the school office for more details.

Dates for meetings this academic year (2016-2017): 12 Sept, 14 Nov, 6 Feb, 8 May & 10 July.

As governors we are committed to the performance and management of our school. On this website there are several of our school policies for you to view, if you have a specific request to view any other policy, please ask at the school office.

Our Chair of Governors is Andrew Gazard and our Vice Chair of Governors is Richard Hayden.

We would also like to offer our congratulations to Beau Goodenough and Molly Pullin who won last year’s Governors’ Award for sustained effort in class throughout the year.  A big ‘well done’ goes to both these pupils.

In the year 2015 - 2016 attedance at Governors' meetings was 75%.

No Governors have any material interests arising from relationships between Governors or relationships between Governors and school staff.

Only one Governor, Rev. Jan Van der Lely, has a Governance role at another educational institution (St Mary's Primary School, Thornbury).

We have no Associate members of our Governing Body.
