Dear Parents/Carers,

LONDON 18 – 21 June 2018

We are in the process of arranging a residential trip to London for the Year 6’s and Year 5’s (we are taking 2 year groups together this year because of the low number of children in Year 6).  I have booked three nights in the YHA Thameside from Mon 18 June – Thurs 21 June 2018.  A range of visits and activities have been booked, including visits to a variety of museums, Princess Diana Park, 10 pin bowling, Churchill war rooms, St Paul's Cathedral, London Eye, Madam Tussauds, Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre.

The children will stay at the YHA London Thameside Youth Hostel and receive a breakfast and evening meal with a packed lunch provided for them during the day.  We hope to experience travel on the tube and underground and absorb some of the more fascinating and unique experiences only our Capital can offer.

The price for the four days in London will be £270.00.  This will include everything apart from spending money.  In cases of families in receipt of Income Support or Family Credit, or in cases of family hardship, the Governing Body may authorise financial help.  Requests will be dealt with in strictest confidence, please contact Mrs Dix to discuss any concerns as soon as possible.

If you would like your child to be considered for this residential trip to London could you please send in your permission slip in by Friday 19th January along with a deposit of £50.00.  Thereafter we would like monthly payments, or you can pay it all in one go, or pay off more/less each month it’s up to you.  Please make cheques payable to Oldbury School Fund.
