Could I remind parents that when you are ‘dropping off’ or collecting children, please make sure the children get out on the ‘kerb side’ of the car.  I have had several reports of ‘near misses’ from parents but hopefully if we stick to unloading children straight onto the kerb then accidents will be avoided.

The Friends of our school have been very active  - a big ‘thank you’ goes to Martyn Hopkins and his helpers who have been continuing to tidy the school grounds and the ‘Bags 2 School’ collection raised £68.00 – so ‘thank you’ to everyone who sent in their old clothes.

On the evening of Friday 15th November, Friends are planning to hold a ‘quiz and Chilli’ night at school, there will be more details sent out to you regarding this event nearer the time.

I am also pleased to announce that at our MacMillan event at the end of September we raised £134.82 for this worthy cause – thank you all for your generosity.

As many of you know, we’ve been trying to work together to improve attendance at our school for the last few years.  I’m pleased to say that we’re off to a good start, the attendance for the whole school in term 1 was 96.44% which is an improvement on last year – So well done to you all!

Yours sincerely,
