As you can see from the news items below, Oldbury school offers a range of activities both during the school day and out of hours that give our children the opportunity to experience new ideas and develop new skills.
Packed diary – there is always something going on at Oldbury School, whether it's the annual school trip to the pantomine, workshops and activity days, after-school and in-school clubs or fundraising parties organised by The Friends.
After school club - we have a popular after school club, which runs Monday to Thursday for 2 hours after school. At this club, chldren get the opportunity to play outside and explore their creative side by completing a variety of craft activities.
Swimming in PE - during the winter months, when we can't do PE outside on the field, the whole school goes to Thornbury Leisure Centre each week for swimming and other activities, such as dance and gymnastics.
Music - Oldbury School has has performed in the instrumental and singing categories at Thornbury Eisteddfod for the last 4 years and has produced a number of prize winning performaces. The new Choir Club is proving popular.
Sports clubs - we run hockey, Roaring Rugby and Superstars clubs after school.
