Welcome to Oldbury School
At Oldbury School, we understand that happy, engaged children learn better. For us, ‘Love one another as I have loved you’ (John 15:12) isn’t just a strapline, it is the foundation of our approach to education.
The unique attributes that come from being a small rural school, from the extensive grounds to the caring environment, underpin a creative approach to education that releases the potential of our children. Oldbury School is anything but ordinary, click here to find out why…
About Us
Nestled in the rural village of Oldbury-on-Severn, just above the Severn estuary, our small, inclusive school welcomes children from the local area and beyond. With close links to our farming community and village church, we offer a nurturing environment where every child is known and valued. Through our rich, values-led curriculum, we help children Love, Learn and Flourish – developing big ambitions, strong character, and a sense of belonging.
The Manor C of E Primary and Oldbury on Severn C of E Primary School Partnership.
In September 2023, a school partnership between The Manor CE Primary School and Oldbury on Severn CE Primary School was established. Mrs Amanda Flanagan is the Executive Headteacher of both schools, with Mr John Israel becoming Head of School at The Manor and Mrs Laura Horner becoming Head of School at Oldbury on Severn.
Our School Prayer
Dear God,
Help us to love one another,
to care for and respect each other and our world.
Build us up in friendship and community,
so that our school would be a place of growth and joy
where we can all love, learn, and flourish.
Amen.
