Forest School
At Oldbury on Severn Primary School, we place high value on outdoor learning. All children benefit from weekly Forest School sessions, held in our dedicated woodland space and led by a skilled Forest School Leader. These sessions run every week throughout the year and are a key part of our curriculum and personal development offer.
Forest School provides rich, hands-on experiences in nature, helping children grow in confidence, resilience, creativity and teamwork. Children explore, take risks, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world, all while building key life skills like communication, problem-solving, and emotional wellbeing. Our approach promotes independence and self-worth in a calm, inclusive and engaging environment.
Children take part in activities like den building, mud painting, fire safety, nature crafts and more – always with safety, respect and creativity at the heart.
Forest School at Oldbury helps every child Love, Learn and Flourish.
